Sometimes true strength is not the brave standing firm, but the determined withdrawal. Joseph knew this. Day after day he was challenged, pressured, and seduced by Potiphar’s wife. It would have been easy to find excuses. No one would ever know. No one could control him. He was far from home, trapped in a life he had not chosen.
And yet Joseph made a decision that revealed his whole character: he fled. Not from responsibility. Not from God. But from sin. He understood that temptation is not harmless but destructive. That it ruins not only the present, but the future. And that fleeing in such a moment was not a sign of weakness – but of true courage.

Joseph was condemned – precisely for the faithfulness that should have protected him.

But Joseph knew something that sustained him: sin always destroys – integrity never does. And even if integrity is punished by people, it is rewarded by God.
Joseph did not flee because he was weak. He fled because he was strong. His escape was not running away, but running toward – into the protection of the One who saw his heart. Away from danger, toward God. And while the world condemned him, God honored him in secret.
For the one who flees from sin is not running away – he is running home.
