And I saw another sign in heaven, great and marvellous, seven angels having the seven last plagues; for in them is filled up the wrath of God.

² And I saw as it were a sea of glass mingled with fire: and them that had gotten the victory over the beast, and over his image, and over his mark, and over the number of his name, stand on the sea of glass, having the harps of God.

³ And they sing the song of Moses the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, Great and marvellous are thy works, Lord God Almighty; just and true are thy ways, thou King of saints.

⁴ Who shall not fear thee, O Lord, and glorify thy name? for thou only art holy: for all nations shall come and worship before thee; for thy judgments are made manifest.

⁵ And after that I looked, and, behold, the temple of the tabernacle of the testimony in heaven was opened:

⁶ And the seven angels came out of the temple, having the seven plagues, clothed in pure and white linen, and having their breasts girded with golden girdles.

⁷ And one of the four beasts gave unto the seven angels seven golden vials full of the wrath of God, who liveth for ever and ever.

⁸ And the temple was filled with smoke from the glory of God, and from his power; and no man was able to enter into the temple, till the seven plagues of the seven angels were fulfilled.

🔵 Introduction

Chapter 15 of Revelation transitions from the three angels’ warnings in chapter 14 to the outpouring of the seven final plagues in chapter 16. It presents a solemn scene: the victorious stand by the glassy sea, singing, while heaven readies itself for the concluding act of divine justice. This chapter offers hope to the faithful and gravity to those who reject God’s grace.

🟡 Commentary

1. The Heavenly Sign and the Victory of the Faithful (vv. 1–4)

   • v. 1: A final, marvelous sign—seven angels bearing the last plagues, completing God’s wrath.

   • vv. 2–4: The victors stand on the glassy sea—symbolizing triumph over the beast, its image, its mark, and its number.
     They sing Moses’ song (Israel’s deliverance) and the Lamb’s song (deliverance in Christ), praising God’s justice, holiness, and universal worship.

2. Heaven’s Preparation for Judgment (vv. 5–8)

   • v. 5: The heavenly temple (the seat of final judgment) is opened.

   • vv. 6–7: Seven angels, dressed in priestly linen and golden sashes, receive golden bowls filled with God’s wrath.

   • v. 8: The temple fills with God’s glory and power in smoke, and entry is barred until the plagues are completed—symbolizing the close of the intercessory period and the onset of final judgment.

There is still a time of grace. The heavenly temple’s door remains open; our High Priest intercedes for us. Revelation 15 reminds us that a day is coming when God’s righteous judgment will be finalized and no further repentance will be possible.

🔵 Introduction

Doubt is one of the subtlest and most dangerous weapons of the enemy in the great battle for the human mind. Especially young believers and seekers are vulnerable to thoughts that aim to shake their trust in God’s Word and character.

Yet this chapter shows clearly:
🔹 God does not demand blind faith,
🔹 but offers abundant evidence,
🔹 while still calling for faith, trust, and spiritual humility.

The truth remains hidden only from those who refuse to seek it—and is continually revealed by the Holy Spirit to honest seekers.

🟡 Commentary

🔹 1. The Origin of Doubt (Paras. 1–2)
Many experience doubt when encountering difficult Bible passages.
Satan uses these moments to shake our faith.
But: God has given us sufficient foundations for belief—doubt persists only if we choose to cultivate it.

🔹 2. The Limitations of Human Understanding (Paras. 3–6)
We cannot fully comprehend the essence and work of the infinite God.
Passages like Job 11:7–8, Romans 11:33, and Psalm 97:2 demonstrate that God’s greatness surpasses human knowledge.
There are mysteries (e.g., the origin of sin, the incarnation, the resurrection) that do not undermine Scripture’s divine origin but confirm it.

🔹 3. The Divine Origin of the Bible (Paras. 7–10)
Even the simplest truths exceed our research yet are accessible to all.
Scripture speaks to both heart and mind.
Its depth and simplicity together testify to its inspiration by God.

🔹 4. Proper Handling of Difficult Passages (Paras. 11–14)
Peter warns against twisting hard texts (2 Peter 3:16).
Not everything attributed to the Bible actually comes from it.
Pride, impatience, and the desire for total control keep many from understanding.

🔹 5. Faith Grows through Humility (Paras. 15–19)
Those who study Scripture with childlike faith and prayer find even hard passages explained by the Holy Spirit.
Only reverence for God makes the Word come alive and become understandable.

🔹 6. The Root of Unbelief (Paras. 20–22)
Behind many doubts lies a love of sin.
The heart resists God’s claims.
Yet whoever is willing to do God’s will will recognize the truth (John 7:17).

🔹 7. Proof through Experience (Paras. 23–25)
The strongest proof of God’s Word is personal experience:
“Taste and see that the LORD is good” (Psalm 34:9).
Those who test God’s promises will never be disappointed.

🔹 8. Continuing Deepening of Faith (Paras. 26–28)
Spiritual growth brings ever-clearer understanding:
“The path of the righteous is like the morning sun” (Proverbs 4:18).
God combines His divine power with our humanity to teach us continuously.

🔹 9. The Unfolding of the Previously Unintelligible (Paras. 29–30)
What once seemed dark becomes clear in His presence.
One day we will know fully, “face to face” (1 Corinthians 13:12).

🟢 Summary

Doubts will come—but they need not remain.
The Bible holds mysteries, not to confuse us, but to inspire faith, wonder, and trust.
Those who approach Scripture in humility, prayer, and obedience will find deep assurance and insight.
The greatest confirmation is the testimony of personal experience with God.

In a world of skepticism, critical thinking, and so-called “scientific” doubt, it’s easy to give doubt a foothold.
But God’s Word stands reliable, profound, and true—across time and culture.

📜 “If anyone’s will is to do God’s will, he will know” (John 7:17).
📜 “Taste and see that the LORD is good” (Psalm 34:9).

👉 What does this mean for you?

• Don’t search first for explanations—search for God Himself.

• Let your pursuit be driven by a desire for truth, not intellectual pride.

• When doubt arises, go to Jesus, not to speculation.

• Read the Bible in prayer with an open heart—and it will come alive to you.

God is not distant—His Word is living and powerful for everyone who seeks it with an open heart
