The Great Controversy Chapter 12: The French Reformation Part 2
– Pastor Ted Wilson continues discussing chapter twelve of The Great Controversy, “The French Reformation,” in which the Holy Scriptures were placed into the hands of the common people and nobility across France because of Lefevre’s French translation of the New Testament in 1523. –
One such reformer was the noble Louis de Berquin, who preached throughout France despite many threats and warnings.
Eventually Berquin was arrested, tried, and condemned to die. The magistrates executed his sentence the very day it was pronounced. The story is a sad bit of history, but nothing could stop the spread of God’s light all the way down the ages to us today.
To learn more about Louis de Berquin, the Reformation, and how it relates to our present experience, read The Great Controversy by Ellen White at https://greatcontroversyproject.org/.
