πŸ™ Poem 3 – Faithful Despite the Danger

βš–οΈ When Daniel Found the Courage to Obey

Deep within his heart and mind,
Daniel held his faith secure.
He knew to whom his life belongedβ€”
the Lord of heaven and earth forevermore.

Day after day the food was placed
before them by the king’s command.
The wine was served in royal cups,
as custom ruled throughout the land.

The others might have viewed it all
as fortune few would ever know.
But Daniel saw the matter clearly
in the light that God would show.

He knew the power of the king
who ruled over Babylon’s domain.
A single word from the royal throne
could alter favor, loss, or gain.

The court was strict, its order firm;
no servant acted as he pleased.
Whoever crossed the royal will
could quickly fall into distress.

The young men understood full well
how serious the matter was.
The path of faith was never easy
when earthly power opposed God’s truth.

Yet Daniel did not think first of
his safety in this earthly place.
Instead, he asked both day and night
what God desired him to embrace.

For faithfulness is shown most clearly
when people live by God’s own Wordβ€”
not when the road is smooth and easy,
but when resistance can be heard.

Since ancient times the enemy
has led the heart away by stages.
He rarely asks for all at once,
but tempts through small and measured changes.

A little compromise in one place,
a quiet silence somewhere else;
a choice that seems entirely harmless,
until truth and error blend themselves.

Daniel recognized the strategy
that often works unseen and still.
And so he firmly held to all
that God had spoken in His will.

His homeland now lay far behind,
with temple hill and childhood days.
Yet God’s eternal truth remained
when every earthly comfort changed.

Heaven looks upon every heart,
upon each joy and every pain.
And those who serve God in small matters
He safely leads through every strain.

Hananiah stood beside him,
filled with faith and constancy.
Mishael and Azariah likewise
sought no glory from the king.

Together they appealed to God
to guide them near and far away.
For human strength alone can never
provide the help they needed each day.

Perhaps their hearts were filled with fear
as they considered what might come.
For disobedience to the throne
was dangerous in Babylon.

Yet greater than all human power
is God, who watches over all.
His will remains through every age
both just and faithful, true and sure.

Daniel did not wish to offend,
nor answer pride with stubborn pride.
With humility he sought to show
that God’s own way was truly right.

And so a quiet courage grew,
born from confidence in God.
His strength did not come from himself,
but from the Lord’s eternal rule.

Whoever builds upon the Most High
stands firmer than the strongest man.
For every earthly power will perish,
but God’s own Word forever stands.

The days passed slowly one by one,
yet peace remained within his soul.
He knew that whatever might await him,
God already knew it all.

The angels watched with joy to see
faith growing in the darkest hour.
For every victory in the life of faith
reveals the path of heaven’s power.

The testing had not yet concluded;
the final choice still lay ahead.
Yet Daniel had already settled
where his deepest trust was placed.

The king held power throughout the land,
but God held everything in hand.
And those who yield themselves to Him
through faithfulness will overcome.

Thus quietly and clearly it was shown
what long had lived within his heart:
Daniel would rather obey God
than seek human praise or earthly gain.

The true greatness of a person
is not found in fame or name.
It is revealed in times of hardship,
when faithfulness outlasts the pain.

And so Daniel’s witness still shines on
through every age and every land.
For God will honor those who trust Him
and build upon His Rock to stand.

🌟 Prophetic Reflection

πŸ™ Faithfulness becomes fully visible when it carries a cost.

βš–οΈ Daniel knew that obedience to God could bring hardship. Nevertheless, he chose the path of truth.

✨ God’s end-time people must likewise learn that genuine faith does not depend upon comfort, but upon trust in God’s guidance.

🌍 Those who place the Most High above the powers of this world will discover that God’s strength is greater than every human threat. (Acts 5:29)
