Today, we want to collectively focus on the fascinating theme: “God in Nature.” This perspective on creation opens up a deeper view of the existence of God and His influence in our world.
“But God also shows his anger from heaven. He punishes all wicked people who suppress the truth by their wickedness. They know the truth about God because he has made it obvious to them. For ever since the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky. Through everything God made, they can clearly see his invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature. So they have no excuse.” Romans 1:18-20
In Romans 1:18–20, the Apostle Paul speaks about God’s revelation through the created world. He emphasizes that the reality and existence of God are clearly revealed through the “made” world, leaving humanity “without excuse” for unbelief. Nature itself is a living testimony to the existence and essence of God. In the details of creation, we can recognize His power, wisdom, and goodness.
The irony that Paul addresses is also present in our modern times. Science has granted us deeper insights into the wonders of creation, and as life appears more complex, randomness or probability becomes less plausible as the cause for this complexity. An iPhone, obviously designed, is recognized as a product of design. But humans, equally obviously designed, with internal and external design, are supposed to have emerged purely by chance? These thoughts can lead many astray.
“Ask the animals, and they will teach you, or the birds in the sky, and they will tell you; or speak to the earth, and it will teach you, or let the fish in the sea inform you. Which of all these does not know that the hand of the Lord has done this? In his hand is the life of every creature and the breath of all mankind.” Job 12:7-10
In Job 12:7–10, we see how Job views nature as a mirror of the reality of God. Even though nature, especially in its fallen state, does not fully reveal the character of God, it still shows His creative power and aspects of His goodness.
Which aspects of nature particularly show you the power and goodness of God? Perhaps it’s the majestic mountains, the roaring waterfalls, or the delicate blossoms in spring. Each of us has our own experiences in nature that reflect God’s greatness and love.
In these moments of contemplation, we can draw strength and encouragement. Nature reminds us that the Creator of this world also holds our lives in His hands. May our hearts bloom in gratitude and admiration as we contemplate the wonders of nature, inspiring us to recognize the beauty and greatness of God in each day.

Lord, our Creator, we come before you with hearts full of wonder for your majestic creation. Today, we have collectively reflected on “God in Nature” and recognized that the world around us is a living testimony of your existence and divine majesty. In Romans 1:18-20, the Apostle Paul reveals that the reality and existence of God are clearly discernible through creation, leaving us without excuse for unbelief.
We stand in awe of the irony of our time, where science grants us deeper insights into your wonderful works. May this knowledge not lead to confusion but rather inspire us to recognize the creative power and wisdom in every detail of your creation. Like Job in Job 12:7-10 viewed nature as a mirror of your reality, we see your power and goodness in the majestic mountains, roaring waterfalls, and delicate blossoms of spring.
In these moments of contemplation, we draw strength and encouragement. Nature reminds us that you not only created the world but also hold our lives in your hands. May our hearts bloom in gratitude and admiration as we contemplate the wonders of nature. Let us pray together and thank you for your glorious creation.
