Perhaps Moses wrote the book of Job in Midian before the exodus even occurred.

Job’s suffering is not confined to a specific people or era. Jew or non-Jew, we can all identify with Job’s pain, for he represents suffering in a fallen world.
The book of Job shows us that suffering is an integral part of human existence. Job, a man of exceptional righteousness, was nevertheless besieged by adversity. Illness, loss, and pain marked his life. In the midst of this suffering, Job sought answers, an understanding of God’s actions.
The words of Jesus remind us not to worry too much about tomorrow. Each day comes with its own set of challenges, yet we trust that God will take care of our concerns. In Job, we see that God’s ways often transcend our human understanding but are nonetheless filled with love and grace.
