โ€œBehold, I am coming quickly! Hold fast what you have, that no one may take your crown.โ€
โ€” Revelation 3:11

๐ŸŒ… Devotional for the Day

The three angelsโ€™ messages do not lead into darkness, but toward the second coming of Jesus. They do not end with warning, judgment, Babylon, or the final decision, but with the coming King. Everything God proclaims in Revelation 14 has one purpose: to prepare people to meet Christ.

The first angel calls people to the everlasting gospel, reverence for God, the judgment, and the worship of the Creator. The second angel warns against Babylon and spiritual confusion. The third angel speaks with great seriousness about false worship, faithfulness, and the final decision of the last days. Yet above all three messages stands the hope that Jesus is coming again.

When Christ does not remain at the center, end-time messages can seem heavy and frightening. Then people see only crisis, pressure, persecution, and judgment. But Revelation is not primarily a book of fear; it is the revelation of Jesus Christ. It shows that the Lamb triumphs, that Godโ€™s truth endures, and that in the end the King will come to take His people home.

The message โ€œSoon the King Will Comeโ€ is therefore not a religious addition, but the heart of our hope. World history will not be completed by human power, chance, or chaos. It will be brought to completion by Christ. He who died for us will come again. He who intercedes for His people in the heavenly sanctuary will appear. He who causes the final message of grace to be proclaimed will bring His work to completion.

Therefore, July 30 calls us to see the three angelsโ€™ messages in the light of the Second Coming. They are not merely teachings to be understood, but a call to preparation. They ask us: Am I living with Christ today? Is my heart ready? Am I sharing His message with love? Am I truly waiting for the King?

โœจ The Message Has a Purpose

God does not send His final message without direction. It is meant to awaken people, but also to lead them home. It is meant to make truth clear, but also to give hope. It is meant to prepare people for the day when Christ will visibly return.

Ellen G. White wrote:

โ€œThese messages are the final warnings that will be given to the world.โ€

(The Great Controversy, p. 436)

A final warning shows that the time is serious. But it also shows that God is still calling. As long as this message is being proclaimed, the door of grace remains open. God wants people to be ready when Jesus comes.

๐ŸŒฟ Waiting with an Alert Heart

Waiting for the King does not mean being passive. It means living watchfully, faithfully, and hopefully. A waiting heart takes Godโ€™s Word seriously, seeks closeness with Christ, and allows the Holy Spirit to prepare it each day.

Ellen G. White wrote:

โ€œWe should live as though Christ were expected today, and yet work as though there were still many people to reach.โ€

(Maranatha, p. 106)

This attitude protects us from two dangers: indifference and restless fear. Those who expect Christ live intentionally. Those who trust Christ live in peace.

๐Ÿ•Š๏ธ The King Is Coming for His People

The second coming of Jesus is the great hope of believers. Christ does not come as a stranger, but as the Redeemer. He does not come to forget His people, but to take them to Himself. He does not come to leave His promises unfulfilled, but to fulfill them.

Therefore, the three angelsโ€™ messages are ultimately an invitation to meet Jesus. They call us out of confusion so that we may see clearly. They call us to true worship so that our hearts may belong to God. They call us to faithfulness so that we may remain in Christ. They call us to the gospel so that we may be saved by grace.

When the King comes, it will become clear that no prayer was in vain, no faithfulness was forgotten, and no hope was wasted. Everything that happens today in faith stands in the light of His return. Therefore, we may live with uplifted eyes: The message is serious, the time is precious, but the hope is greater. Soon the King will come.

๐Ÿ™ Prayer

Dear Father in heaven,

thank You for the hope of Jesusโ€™ second coming.

Help me always to understand the three angelsโ€™ messages in the light of the coming King.

Protect me from fear, indifference, and spiritual weariness.

Prepare my heart each day through Your Word, Your grace, and Your Holy Spirit.

Let my life be a testimony that Jesus is coming soon and that His grace is still calling.

Amen.
