Are you certain that you know what you think you know? Some lies are loud. Others are quiet, disguised as information, concern, or even conviction. In our information-driven society, where false reports spread faster than wisdom, we can be influenced without even realizing it.
Studies show that false news spreads faster than accurate, unbiased information. Before facts can be verified, lies cross borders and oceans at lightning speed, because technology maximizes engagement, not truth. Algorithms and clicks are designed to generate more clicks, not deeper understanding.
This pattern is not new; Satan used it in the Garden of Eden.
Deception uses the language of truth, just as the serpent did. Our only defense is what God has given us—His Word. Through the Holy Scriptures, which we carry in our hearts and minds, we can pause, reflect, examine, and discern before forwarding, sharing, or commenting on something. God’s truth will always triumph over the fear fueled by the news.
